    Crier California Fires

My heart goes out to you and yours hoping that you are well. Several members in my family are having to evacuate. I wish I could be there to help them in this time of need.

Its horrible what is happening and truly devastating.

Hope your family is OK.....San Diego is really getting hit hard. Most of my accounts down there are closed. Right now I am surrounded but none of them are too near us. We are getting tons of smoke from the Arrowhead fire.

Its got to be the most hopeless feelings one can have. Watching it burn and knowing theres nothing you can do to stop it. The 60 min piece on Sunday night on megafires was truly appropriate timing and gave considerable input as to what may be causing the conditions.

My heart goes out to you and your family, Snit

Thankfully we’ve been spared anything but smoke. It’s been rough on Lisa though, pregnant with borderling asthma and not being able to take any meds.

It sure feels like 2003 all over again.

My car still has damage from the ash from the 2003 fires. I am thinking from what my family has told me and reading on the net (since I do not own a tv) that this is worst than 2003.

When your wife goes out, have her carry a damp washcloth covering her mouth and nose to help prevent all that yucky stuff from entering her lungs. That helped me a great deal in 2003.

Well I just found out that one of Lisa's cousins has been evacuated. Her home is in the area of San Diego where 500 homes have been lost. No news yet on the condition of her home.

Its been pretty bad. The air smells like smoke. Eyes tear as soon as you get out.

Fortunately, my home and office is quite a distance from the fires.

Word is that the Irvine fires was arson. That's evil...

I know it's after the fact, my sister and her family were evacuated and came out to AZ to visit.

Their house was spared - the canyon behind their yard got charred but thankfully it stopped there.

My sister has asthma, and the ash has been terrible on her but she is grateful for everything else.

On a funnier note, she came home to discover that she had left a window open in her bedroom...at least she thought it was hilarious!
