Nupolar versus Polaroid IRx brown lenses

Is there any difference between the Nupolar Brown and the Polaroid Chocolate Brown C lenses, in terms of contrast and glare reduction?

We've been using Nupolar up until now, but was intrigued by the Polaroid IRx magazine insert I read regarding their multiple color options, one being the Chocolate Brown C optimized for golf.

    VE Melanin

Throw Vision-Ease's Melanin into the mix and add my vote to that one. Own a pair and love 'em. Not sure if the color is what the average polarized wearer wants ( I generally prefer to sell Gray C to anyone getting 'just' one pair, which of course is everyone), but I love mine for the rare overcast morning drive. VE's polarized lenses rock!

I am a marketing manager for Specialty Lens. We manufacture and distribute iRx Polaroid lenses. Nupolar Brown is comparable to our Chocolate (Brown C) in terms of glare reduction and contrast. To increase contrast, I would recommend our iRx Polaroid Copper lens.

We also manufacture and distribute Melanin True lenses. These lenses offer the same performance and protection that Vision-Ease SunRx Melanin lenses do. Incidentalty, Vision-Ease appears to be discontinuing this lens. We will continue to offer our Melanin True line in a variety of lenses styles and matierals.

Yes, Essilor purchased Specialty Lens in 2003. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Essilor of America.

And Essilor just bought KBco. That leaves only NuPolar and Vision-Ease as non-essilor polarized products, right?

BTW, Lux will buy Vision-Ease next. As soon as they pay Ralph Lauren all the money thye owe him. Just my prediction.
