TRANSITIONS OPTICAL’S NEW CERTIFICATE OF AUTHENTICY
BENEFITS CHARITIES AND EYECARE PROFESSIONALS NATIONWIDE

COA Facilitates Donations to Prevent Blindness America and Community
Grants While Offering Redeemable Points to Eyecare Professionals
LAS VEGAS, Oct. 5, 2007 – Following the conclusion of Transitions Optical, Inc.’s national Spin & Win Sweepstakes, eyecare professionals and consumers will have the opportunity to support healthy sight causes through product registrations and online pledges using a new Transitions Certificate of Authenticity (COA). From Nov. 1 through April 30, 2008, each consumer registration will also earn points for the eyecare professional that sold the lenses.

With the existing and new COAs, each time consumers register their Transitions® lenses a donation is made to Prevent Blindness America, through the Transitions® Healthy Sight for Life Fund. Beginning in November, if customers complete their registrations online, and pledge to protect their healthy sight and the healthy sight of their family, a bonus donation will be made to one of the community charities supported by the Transitions Healthy Sight for Life Fund.

Since 2006, a Transitions COA has been included with authentic Transitions lenses to reinforce the value of wearing Transitions lenses and the Transitions brand.

“The response to the Certificate of Authenticity from consumers and eyecare professionals has been incredibly positive. The Certificate of Authenticity has provided an important opportunity to reinforce the significance of the patient’s purchase at the time of pick-up, and the online healthy sight pledge will further emphasize the importance of proper eyecare,” said Grady Lenski, director, marketing, North America, Transitions. “Maintaining the charitable benefit to lens registration and the new points program should provide an added incentive for eyecare professionals to encourage patients to complete the registration process.”

To date, close to 300,000 consumers have registered their Transitions lenses through the COA program. More than 9,000 eyecare professional locations signed up to participate in the Spin & Win Sweepstakes. Eyecare professionals who didn’t register for the Spin & Win Sweepstakes can still sign up for the new points program by registering online at www.Trustedworldwide.com, or through Transitions Optical Customer Service at (800) 848-1506.
