Does Sola Compact Ultra Same As Ao Compact Ultra????

Does anyone can tell me Compact ultra manufacture from SOLA or AO company, that's so confuse....

AO was bought out by Sola who was bought out by Carl Zeiss.

The lens used to be known as AO, but I guess they are getting rid of that name.

The AO product is called simply "Compact".
SOLA has a product they call "Compact Ultra".
They are NOT the same lens. You are right, it is confusing. They can't be running out of names already can they? For specs on each lens check out TheLensGuru.com

when they run out of names they will have to make up new words like "physio" and "minuo". When that happens you will know that we finally have TOO many progressives.

Maybe they should use some words that inspire confidence when naming new progressives, like Infinity or Pro - I don't see those in my lens catalogue:D

they are the exact same company. Why does it matter?

because in some of the Asia area, they are under different authorize dealer, so if i wanna get Compact Ultra,i have to know which company does it under in order to get it

The way companies are designed in North America is not the same as Asia. Even Canada and US have different structures (Nikon and Essilor example). I would suggest contacting the company's directly.
