VCA Divisions Offer Continuing Education at International Vision Expo West

VCA Divisions Offer Continuing Education at International Vision Expo West
Alexandria, VA (August 24, 2007) – For the Vision Council of America (VCA), International Vision Expo West marks an association first – all of VCA’s divisions will offer continuing education classes at the show. In total, VCA’s Eyewear and Accessories, Lens, Lens Processing and Technology and Low Vision Divisions will sponsor 16 courses.

“VCA and its division are in a unique position to offer courses specifically designed to grow business,” said Ed Greene, VCA CEO. “As an association of manufacturers, we are able to share the latest advances in vision care products with eyecare professionals to help them build their practices.”

VCA’s Eyewear and Accessories Division will sponsor the “Frame Buyer’s Certificate Program,” which comprises a total of 12 continuing education courses. Upon completion of eight courses, eyecare professionals will receive a Frame Buyer’s Certificate.

To complement its successful Lenses and Lifestyles consumer magazine, VCA’s Lens Division will sponsor a similarly named course. The course will provide a clear understanding of the latest technology in lens designs, materials and treatments.

VCA’s Lens Processing and Technology Division, through its continuing education course, will provide eyecare professionals with the latest advances in processing to enable them to make the decisions that will best benefit their practice and patients.

Back by popular demand, the Low Vision Division will present its continuing education course, “Magnify Your Future,” designed for practitioners who want to add low vision care to their practice and become familiar with low vision products. The division will also sponsor an interactive case study workshop.
