PPG INDUSTRIES NAMES NATHAN TROXELL MARKETING MANAGER, OPTICAL MATERIALS


PITTSBURGH, August YY, 2007 — PPG Industries, Inc. has appointed Nathan Troxell as its new marketing manager, optical materials. In this position, Troxell will be responsible for developing a strategic approach to marketing and working closely with customers to help them grow their businesses with PPG optical products, including Trivex® lens materials, CR-39™ monomer and Hi-Gard™ lens coatings. Troxell also will pursue marketing partnerships with PPG businesses International Polarizer and Intercast Europe, S.p.A.

Troxell joins PPG after spending three years as a marketing manager for American Eagle Outfitters, where he focused on both in-store and online partnership initiatives and promotions. An optical industry veteran, Troxell also spent several years managing trade and consumer promotions for the Transitions Optical account as an account executive for FSC Marketing Communications. Troxell holds a bachelor’s degree in business and communications from Grove City College. He lives in Pittsburgh with his wife Megan.
