    Bevels w/ my Gamma

When I get some jobs back from the lab, I notice that some of them have deeper (or sharper, depending on how you look at it) bevels than I can produce on my Gamma edger. This is a problem especially on the the deep zyl sunglass frames and on thin metal frames that don't really have a bevel but more of a slot. I also shows up on polarized lenses in the form of stress marks. The lens is the right size, but the bevel isn't sharp enough to fit into the frame fully, so it shows stresses or worse, doesn't want to stay in.

Could it be my aftermarket finishing wheel? It is just the Gerber Gamma?

You guys that have Gammas or Kappas (Harry and Barry) let me know your thoughts. Thanks a bunch!

I don't know gamma or kappa but our lab guy will sometimes cut them slightly larger and then do a sharper bevel on the old hand wheel.

Sounds like the new "mini-bevel" feature.

It sounds like that's the ticket, our kappa doesn't do that. We do have a hand stone that creates really deep an I mean deeeeeeeeeeep bevels, so it wouldn't suprise me if thats a cause of the wheel.
