Does anyone have any experience or information about the laser lens edger? I have seen the impressive work it does on some lenses from "Lens Work", but I know nothing about this machine. Does anyone here know about it?

I have never seen the machine. I have only heard of it through WOM. I believe that is what they use to do the lens tat2 at Lens Work.
I could be incorrect, this might be done with stencil sandblast or perhaps a ME-1000 type edger. My sources cannot remember the company name, or if they are still in business.. Google search doesnt' find any optical=specific laser cutters.
As far as I can tell I think it is just the engraving that is done by laser not the cutting of the lens
The clip that they show is so fast it is annoying!

I remember seeing one at the OLA a few years ago in Nashville. I think the company that was selling them was called Ellison or something like that. It was pretty slick. Very fast and could do some really different shapes. It did everything from the shape to drilling the holes. I have not heard anything about them since then.

I am assuming laser is used to replace roughing wheel since it cuts faster and doesn't wear out like roughing wheel. A "V" shape finishing wheel is still needed to smooth out lens finishes and create "V" groove.
The LensWork lab uses an engraver for their Tat2's. Haven't heard about an edger that uses lasers.

from their web site, doesn't say anything about traditional bevel just rimless.
SWEET! This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you, everyone, for helping me on this! This machine may be an alternative to the ME-1000 i am currently using to do my clip; lenses are all .9mm thickness and have multiple holes. The safety bevel is done by hand. Again, Thank you very much!!!
Be aware that laser cutting in different materials is not as easy as it sounds.
You can cut with a CO2 laser or a YAG.
Poly would be very difficult to get a good finish with a CO2 laser.
