    Question

Well? If so, perhaps we could find a time to get on the chat room for a "roundtable" discussion on the common challenges faced by all practices. You know, come up with a few questions and ideas and chat away. I've found the best ideas are usually already being done somewhere else- you just have to look...

    Um Pete,

Depending on your definition of "practice manager" I was one for 13 years. I absolutely hated it but if you wish to "jaw" about it let me know.

Pete, If by "practice manager" you mean an "optometric technician" hired to generate additional income for an owner optometrist or ophthalmologist, or is it someone who manages the operation of a retail optical shop for the mutual benefit of the client and "optician". If you worked a block away and made glasses and contact lenses for the same patients you now work with, would you be a "practice manager" or an "optician"? The difference being the amount of income generated that the doctor gets instead of you. Someone in another post asked why you weren't supportive of the POF? Seems that being a practice manager is a conflict of interest for POF membership, IMHO. The POF is still an organization for the interests of "opticians", isn't it? Well, best wishes. Great pic of you guys in N'awlins! Was Chad standing on a box? Al.
