    Question

My mother is having cataract surgery on one eye next Thursday, I just wondered how they calculate what power lens to use for the IO implant. Thanks Rich R

Hi Rich. The power of the IOL is determined by both refractive and axial measurements, the latter done with ultrasound. Hope this helps, and best wishes to your Mom.
