    FPD, then dived by two, subtract your mono pd=inset

    Divide B by two, is the seg height higher or lower, = up or down placement.

    Hope this is what your looking for!

    FPD=68
    PPD=58
    SEG=17
    A=50
    B=21
    DBL=18.....SO IS THIS CORRECT

    68/2=34-29=5(INSET) ?

    21/2=10.5-17= -6.5 UP PLACEMENT ?

    It's right but I hope you're not placing a 17 seg in a 21 B frame and leaving them 4mm for distance;)

    Thanks all....

    Weird case....pt actually brought in frame and lenses (yes they walked in with uncut pals) and said their optician was now where to be found and he needed his new lenses put in...yada yada yada ...so im going by his requests....and yes he signed a paper stating my lab was not to be held liable for any probs....both on materials and vision...and he did pay a nice lab/materials fee for the service!.....yup....weird!:cheers:

    omg

    That would scare the crap out of me. Wondering if i found a real @#$!!head pt. That another optical kicked to the curb from frustration. Good Luck. That is also a weird scenario. If an LDO put a lens like this in a frame for a pt. (Im sure you verified the lens versus Dr's RX) can the person who edges and dispenses these not be liable. just curious. I did it once for a true friend with lenses from thailand. This was a friend so i did it gratis no paperwork, no liability, and these people were optical folk.
