New edger

I'm looking to purchase a new rimless edger... between a Nidek ME-1000(+) and Weco 550.

What should I buy and why.

The ME-1000 is simply the most amazing edger I've had the opportunity to work with. And when it's combined with their Fashion Lab Software, it's capabilities really are unmatched.

I've heard go things about the Weco 550 (especially now that Briot and Weco have combined), but I simply can't imagine it would compare to the quality I've seen from the ME-1000.

I had the nidek on demo for 2 weeks a couple of years ago. In that 2 weeks, the blocker stopped working and the grooving/safety bevel assembly started to snap lenses in half!!! Needless to say, we did`nt keep it.
