    PARK16.SECURESERVER.NET

The site is a starter web site hosted on a free server, this usually equates to a fly by night operation which could be here today gone tommorow. If you are going to spend any money spend it on any of the offerings from NAO or even Michale Disanto's TOPS manual, these are definately tried and true material that will help you pass the ABO as it helped others, also by buying these materials from NAO you will be supporting opticianry.

    I thought so...

    Thanks Harry,

I was already on high alert just curious if I was going to be charged I wasn’t going there. You know curiosity KILLED the cat!

I did order Mikes book and actually another staff member is going to buy the review book and to my surprise “Doc” wants to take the ABO test. How unusual is that.

I actually called a Doctor out by asking why they have never taken the test, it is good to see a doctor taking the test. Once he/she passes it tell them to go for the advanced test as well, no one ever said that OD's or OMD's couldn't be master opticians as well and it would be nice to see our professions supporting each other this way. The tides of change may be turning, if their is anything you need help with just let mme know through PM or e-mail.

Hi, I was wondering..why isn't there an online or study CD course available for the ABO licensing?

Just to clarify... a person is not ABO licensed. They are ABO certified.

There is an ABO online review at www.quantumoptical.com, as well as an NCLE review.

Hi Diane...yes I am aware of that...I just misspoke. I have been certified in the past, but when I got out of optical, like a dummie, I let the certification lapse...so now that I am back, I need to study and get re-CERTIFIED. :p

    Hi again, Diane,

How does this site compare to the book that is out for ABO Exam review? I noticed the disclaimer at the bottom of the site.

Keith Benjamin from Laramy-K is workign on an Open Source version of a study project where professionals collaborate ona study guide that could be used to pass the ABO, it's still in it's begining stages but has some great info so far:

    http://www.laramyk.com/education/ope...udy-guide.html

Also you could go to www.varilux-university.org and then click on the E-learning tab and then the second option Ophthalmic Optics Files, that should be enough free information along with this site to pass the ABO, good luck.

Since Mike DiSanto is the author of the online ABO as well as possibly the ABO study guide, the same information would be included. A disclaimer should be included on anything that is for study purposes of ABO or NCLE. As a matter of fact, they REQUIRE that a disclaimer be used. That's not to say, a person couldn't continue to study the same material at no additional charge. If you know all the infomation and give the correct answers, you will pass. ;) Good luck to you.
