Redhot Jumper No More Crazing On Poly Rimless Lenses..................

One drop of "Drillseal" after drilling, into the freshly drilled holes of polycarbonate lenses will seal the tiny rips and cracks and prevent any future crazing and breaking of the lens from the holes on outwards.

Recommended for use on all hole mounts by major polycarbonate lens manufacturer Vision Ease.

Enquiries or orders can be made toll free at 800-461-6637

I can vouch for the product, it does work but the way I solved the problem was to phone essilor and have them take back the airwear junk and replace it with TL16 mr8:cheers:...wow what a difference!!

    Blue Jumper Caution.................

For the ones that are already using Drillseal please make sure not to close the bottle with the dropper. The product can evaporate through the rubber cap of the dropper. Always make sure to use the hard cap.

Regarding the crazing with a polycarbonate lens, or any other lens for that matter, if the proper washers are fitted then there should be no problem. The crazing (or starring ) is caused by the screw fittings touching the inside of the lens and the pressure causing the lens to fail. Top Hat washers on the front and back of the lenses stops this from happening. I have not had any lenses craze for quite a few years now.

    Cracking Poly

I have not had any lenses craze for quite a few years now.

    Gary.[/quote]

Gary, you are correct in if the screw is too large for the hole, it will cause cracks but stresses in the poly and nicks in the poly caused by the drill bit can grow and also cause cracking. Drillseal prevents cracking from all causes and costs much less than the washers and the time to install them.

Try it, I'll think you will like it.

Maybe not...But, she might be really impressed if you *fix* the problem of crazing and cracking on poly drill mounts and end up saving and making her more money. Heck, she may even be more impressed that you took the time to educate yourself on products to improve your quality of work.

But then again, she may be too closed minded and get irritated over someone trying to be the best they can be by becoming educated.

Easy.................you won't have to call me on long overseas distance call.
You can get the Drillseal from Inland UK in London who is a distributor of ours.

They sell it under another less catchy name. You can get the details from their website at http://inland.co.uk

And Fezz, I don`t actually get any crazing or cracking on my rimless jobs. . . or maybe I choose to ignore them if and when they come back!!

    Blue Jumper Happy customers...........................

When mounting drillmount with poly lenses do not forget to put a drop of Drillseal into the holes.

You will have nothing but happy customers whose lenses will not crack or craze
