    EMI Coatings

Any standard out there for EMI Coatings for Ophthalmic use? These coatings are available from some Mfgrs. in China and Korea but is there any performance standard here in the US Market?

I have made some extensive searched on the net and have so far not found any mentioning of the need of EMI coatings. There seems to be no standards either.

I know that these coatings which are conductive are very popular in the far east, nobody seems to care about it on this side of the hemispere. You encounter the "so what attitude" .

Electromagnetic Interference or RFI Radio Frequency Interference, I don't see how a coating on a pair of glasses is going to be beneficial when people nowadays wear their cell phones on their heads. That would be more of a concern to me than a coating on my glasses.

Redhot Jumper UV meter with EMI read out...................

Actually I am selling now a new type UV meter that measures UV, visible light and EMI.

Thes EMI coatings block EMI radiation from reaching the eye but have not found any articles yet promoting this feature.

Seriously.............I have made several web searches and can not come up with any answer that would apply in the optical and damage eyes or vision.
