    Stock CR-39 Power Range

I need a bit of help confirming the finished stock power range of Transitions. Can anyone please guide me to a resource or quote the stock availability of the product? I think it's 75mm, but perhaps there are a few sources.

My lab told me that the 'overall' power (sphere plus cyl) can't be over -4.00. That sounds weird to me and I'm wondering if they are uninformed or misleading me.

Transitions 1.50 std index stock FSV range

    Good Morning ICARE,
Our stock 1.50 FSV range is -4.00 to +4.00 with cylinder out to -2.00.
The minus lenses are 70mm and the plus range 65mm diameters.

Semi-Finished Std Index SV and Segmented generics are 75 mm.

    have a great day,

    Thank you very much.

I was told that with a

    -3.50 -.075 and
    -3.25 -0.50

that the OD would have to be surfaced because it totals over -4.00 sph+cyl!

    Ughh.

    Yeah, I got told that too. . . !

Something about 4 diopters total power. If I remember right I couldn't get a -2.75 -1.50 or -1.75. Something like that. Is that not right??!?

Thanks for your time and attention!!

I haven't checked the lens catalog, but that seems to be right. 4.00 D of TOTAL power. I checked, SOLA, Essilor, and even SuperFin Indochromic.

In stock form, your photochromic options for this Rx are:
    Sunsensors 1.56,
Hoya Phoenix Trans 5, and (-6.00 total power)
Essilor Poly Trans 5 (-6.00 total power)

LBI's generic "1.56 QuickChange" may be available also, but I don't have my range charts with me. Other generics may be available.
