Being a consumer, I can't post on the PAL forum, but I have a PAL issue that hopefully someone here can address.
One of the parameters supplied to the lab for generation of the Physio 360 is the fitting height. If the lens is ordered with, say, a fitting height of 20mm and the actual fitting height is greater than 20mm, say 23mm, what issues will this cause, if any, if the lens cuts-out correctly with the fitting cross appropriately positioned?
My assumption is that this would not be a problem because the maximum add power will have already been added by 20mm and the extra 3mm would simply extend the reading zone. Is this correct?
If for some reason 23mm would indeed be a problem, is there a maximum size greater than 20mm but less than 23 that would not be of concern?
What this comes down to is how a lens ordered with 20mm differs from one ordered with 23mm if both will cut-out correctly for the same frame.
If the fitting height does not change the optics of the lens, then why is it even necessary for the lab to have this information?
