Are you marketing to any Canadian labs, specifically, in BC?

Commodity Products with great service may work

Tonehill- The Indo products are well respected in other parts of the world. In the US they have very little brand recognition. Other than a superior low index lens in 1.53 index. If there is nothing exclusive other than the name for a single vision finished 1.60 lens made with Mitsui resin then you will have a commodity product. The PAL designs I am sure are good but how many more traditional cast PALs are needed.

    Service is your best bet.

I am also curious why Indo is not asking you to go to Vision Expo. You need to see the industry competition. Especially since it sound like you have very limited knowledge of the industry.

The optician you will be selling to will all want you to know the competitors and you will be treated as sub human by some if you do not know all of the industry slang.

    Good Luck!

    Thanks Tonehill !

I received my trial lenses and information packet today. It is nice to actually see some literature on the Indo product line. It is also nice to see someone in this business step up and actually do what they say they are going to do! Thank you for your generosity.

Now to try and get them edged and AR coated.....;)

I appreciate your info, I am not in the position to turn down any feedback and/or criticism. All of it is needed in order to make me better.

    Keep it coming.

There is no other CR39 than CR39 and it can not be thinner, lighter heavier or thicker than CR39. :D

Thanks for clarifying that for me.

    Tonehill,

I have seen your lenses offered by the lab I use, I work in a in store lab and I often look at lenses slightly different than others. A CR-39 lens can be surfaced in a small in store lab, because the lens is hard enough that a back side scratch coating is not absolutley necessary and if one is needed it can be applied by tint machine. If your product is truly as hard as a CR-39 lens and 50% more impact resitant, it may fill my need for a poly like product that I can surface in house without worries of coating. It can als be a niche product for small labs for their drill mounts if it has impact resistance. Also if you could find out if the lens would be able to be scratch coated with a similar process as CR-39, you may have a customer in me. If you are still offering lens samples I will take any Semi Finished product you have and test it.

I just received the samples from Indo. I'm going to try to get them edged this afternoon and have a report on them. One thing I did notice is the hard coating, very, very nice !!
