    LC Free Form PAl's ??

Was wondering if anyone working at LUx knows what free form lenses they are planning to use - this year ? I had asked a friend of mine that was working over there - and they did not know - or hear of anything - however -

investor conf. call held yesterday - and it states -
    ""Moving towards premium lenses"
New technologies still to be rolled out "

Free Form Technology: an epochal change
    extreme lens customization
    products on demand

ARE THEY SELLING THEM NOW ?
and what design are they ?

    shamir?

the use of the actual phrase "free form" makes me wonder if it's a shamir product, as it's technically their terminology.

    ?

100 dollars extra seems crazy. must not include AR, but all "freeform" lenses do.....

when Shoppers Optical was still around, they had a working relationship with Shamir and were using the "Autograph" lens. When Lux bought them, they also bought the exclusive use to that lens in Canada.

I worked for Shoppers when they were bought by Lux and just recently left them when they changed to Pearle.

So it is not only evil Essilor and Carl Zeiss that distributes its lenses through chains? That good ol'Shamir does it too.

LC is/will be using the Essilor Accolade and Accolade Freedom. Just saw my Varilux brand rep yesterday and we were talking about it for quite a long time.
