Hi,
Does anyone have a better solution for washing gerber blocks?
We use the gerber lens washer, but its so slow........
Any thought on using a dishwasher or a sonic washer, the thought is the sonic washer will loosen the block centers....

I use one of the vats from the tint unit set at about 175F with gloves and an old tint holder used only for that purpose, soak em a few minutes and wipe em off.
I've run warm water to deblock the wax and then soaked them in hot water as I scrub them with a heavy brisstle brush. Time consuming, but great results, never liked the lens washer
lens washer always worked beautifully for me, as long as the water was changed every few days and the wax was skimmed off before closing it in the morning. When I used to help fix 'broken' labs @ VisionDump, I'd seen some blocks come out with more wax than they had when they went in... open the cover and there's a half-inch of green freebond on top of the brown-rust-and-polish-filled water. Changed the brushes and cleaned the tank, showed the lab 'manager' how to keep clean... no further problems.
when I didn't have the luxury of a lens washer, a pot of very hot and soapy water worked wonders.
keeping your freebond clean also helps a lot, too.
