    Value frame company of choice

I am looking for suggestions for your value frame company of choice. I am interested in quality frames only. I know there are a lot of "value" companies out there that peddle complete junk. I also know that there are plenty of companies that peddle great quality at great prices. So, lets hear about them. Thanks!

(In keeping with posting guidelines, please do not list price. PM me if you want to list the asking prices.)

For our budget frames, we use Continental Optical. Similar prices to Modern's low-priced line, but way better quality. The Fregossi line works very well as a budget line with few breakages.

    There's a bunch. . . .

LBI out of Vegas carries decent stuff, Capri Optics, Kenmark has a value line, Silver Dollar. Just a few.

We use IdealOptics Casino Basics line. I know the owners of the company and I know they only do quality - with the exception of their Focus line (which they will fully admit it's meant for medicaid-style insurances only).

I know we have a few frame manufacturers on board here, Uni-Clip(Acuity Eyewear), EncoreJim(EncoreVision), and I think that DocinChina may be offering frames as well as lenses.

I know that EncoreJim and his company EncoreVision could be considered a good value. Has anybody on here used them? They are on my list to buy from this spring.

I've used Kenmark's Gallery line with success. Nice styles, well-made, full 1-year warrantee.

I get Encore Jim's flex line through my local lab in the form of their Bendables package. Frame and Lens for one low price. We actually use it for some medicaid as well.

Decent stuff. Full year warranty. Finish is better than Capri's stuff. Have had only a handful of breakages with it over the past year, year and a half with it.

I would give it 2 thumbs up.

Casino, Baron, Ideal here also. A friend of mine owns Maverick Optical out of San Antonio and is a distributor. He also carries a line call Ameadeus that has a memory metal line. P.M. sent with price range.

I say again, I used to do VA work which required that we use Kenmark Gallery line (Still use same for some industrial contract work. The quality was lousy. Instead of bring new patients to our office for our better lines, patients thought this was indicative of our quality and delivery time. Same patients went elsewhere to get their "real" glasses.
