Who makes Kate Spade Frames?

Anybody knows who distributes them?

Here's a bibliographical article about her. Apparently she is sister-in-law to SNL's David Spade. This is the first I have ever heard of her so perhaps I am getting too old.

Kate Spade is mostly famous for being an expensive handbag designer who's now expanded into other accessories. That's all I can really add to the other posts.

My partner left me a note that she is interested in seeing the Kate Spade rep/adding Kate Spade. I'm only vaguely familiar with them by name, but that's about it. Are we looking at a high, medium, or low pricepoint? Do they sell well? Anything particular exciting about the line, or just another blah designer line? Any thoughts on benefits and drawbacks would be most appreciated. Thanks!

I've seen it.

The number one draw is the name. It's "hot" with younger women.

For the frames, they are the ususal Safilo quality. Good. Not superb.

For the pricepoint, they are expensive for what they are: core frames with fancy designs. Going to be at least 1.5x their core cost. Can't post W/S here.

For the style, they're "cute". Very detailed colors/patterns on the inside of the temples. Whimsical. Styles are relatively conservative.

Last time I saw it, I thought it "missed" by being too conservative for what the designer name would imply.

Typical of Safilo, (and I am favorable towards them), they've recycled the same styles throughout this collection, as they've done with all their designer names. They all look alike, only the many names have changed.

Bottom line: good, not great. Would sell, but are not unique enough.
