    Wave Trifocal in photogray PGX

    Hello
    I king of stuck in situation where customer wants line trifocal Photogray PGX lenses in 1.6 Index, does anyone heard of any lens company that would sell this product? Last I heard they do not have such a product on the market, but I could be wrong. Thank you for any information.

    Be sure to warn the patient that the lenses do not darken through the seg areas as the silver halide (sp) crystals which cause glass photochromics to react are behind the higher index glass segment that is fused and polished onto the blank.

    In other words they will have a clear ring through the segs in the sun!

    Check also with Xcel, they list it on the website.

    How many people have had someone with PGX lenses come in complaining that their bifocal (St-28) doesn't get dark. And when told the reason why, they invariably say, "Well, my OLD ones did!"
