English term for lens with gradient tint

is there an English term for lenses with a gradient tint, like "gradient tinted lens"?

Fade tint=Gradient.

Well, if I were to place an order I would write it like this..80% Gray Gradient with the percentage of the tint you want at the top of the lens. This would hopefully get me a nice sun tint.

In England I have only ever heard and used the word graduated. We don't seem to do that many these days. Anyone remember in the 80s there used to be triple colour tints, and not forgetting blue and pink tints for facetted rimless.
