Good morning and HAPPY NEW YEAR to all my fellow optifolks!!!!

I would like to find out what is on the job front in Richmond Va and the surrounding area. I am a licensed Optician with 14 years of experience in this industry. I love it, not all of it, but MOST of it.

Mostly I love helping people see better, and I love working with my hands. I am skilled in Customer/ Patient Service and like helping people in general. I have done a bit of all the aspects of being an Optician, from lab work to dispensing and everything in between. Low vision fitting was most enjoyable and I especially like working with kids and seniors.

I am adept at problem solving and trouble shooting eyewear and lens issues. I have both inventory and management experience. Above all I value integrity, trust, responsibility,and perhaps most importantly, laughter. I know how to say no and I know how to guide patients to the right choices and best options for their needs, and I know how to help to fulfill their wants.

I am seeking an optician for my practice in Colonial Heights. This is a private practice with two ODs (one FT, one PT). Our emphasis is on service. Duties include helping patients with frame selection, dispensing, some lab work, and maintaining inventory. We are open Monday-Friday, and have a great atmosphere (laughter is encouraged).
