    Marking up progressive lenses

The new hydrophobic coatings have been driving me crazy. I have to use a crayon when checking in progressives and its marks are too thick. But yesterday I had a great idea--I put a piece of clear tape across the lens and mark the dots on the tape. Then I can use the cut out chart to mark the fitting cross and make sure the lenses were edged correctly.

    good idea.

In the office we use these pens that are like white out. They stick to anything, and are great for heights.

You can try the Lumocolor marking pens, by Staedtler. Special F in red(#16-8542) or black(#16-8541). You can sometimes find them in Staples and such. You can also get at www.sadleroptical.com .These thing work great!!!!!

No connection to company-just well worth spreading the word to avoid frustration.

These are the best! Make sure to store them tip down so they don't dry out.

The pens are great to use and easy to wipe off when done.

I can't stand it when someone is in the lab catching the phone or something and grabs that pen (of all the options!) and scribbles on a sticky note!

I had an employee in the office who once needed to clean someones glasses. She walked passed all of the open bottles, took one off the sales rack, opened it up and used it.
