BPI 6-Pot Tint Tank + Gradient Unit

Hi everyone,

For sale is a used BPI 6-pot tint tank. It includes 8 stainless steel tanks with 5 stainless steel and 6 plastic lids. The unit works just fine, however, we no longer do any in-house tinting (we found it easier to just send it out to the lab). I am also including the gradient tinting device. This is not a new unit so it will need to be cleaned up a bit. However, it functions well and has plenty of life left. In fact, although it's an older unit, it has very little "mileage" on it. It was used in a very small office about 1 day per week just to add cosmetic tints.

Btw, I've noticed some of the recent posts on UL listed devices. This is not UL listed.

Please make a reasonable offer. I would prefer to have you pick it up in person in Southern Orange County, CA due to the weight.

Uh, that kinda surprises me a bit as BPI is an American company that has been around for twenty odd years. It is a bit surprising that they would have built a tinter that doesn't meet code .

You'd think that with all the fires BPI's units have caused, they'd learn there lesson and make something better.


What!! No fires due to the way the unit was manufactured ? Really? You mean they were due to the operators using the wrong sized fuzes ? And that CAN'T happen to a UL listed product ?

Research shows the old style tint unit leak. The leakage causes a chemical spill, a shock and or a blown fuse. Fires are not that common. But, I am puzzled why a business owner would accept this.

I am interested in the gradient tinter only if you would be willing to sell separately and mail to Canada.
