Question How an MBA degree will help me?

    Hello Everybody,

I've just got the Bachelor degree in the field of optometry from India. And to be very frank to you, optometry has still to develop a lot. It is still in its childhood. So, i just want to ask you what are the career opportunities I might get after this. One more thing I really like to know from you is how an MBA degree will help me in my career. Should I go for a full time course or part time? Please help me to choose my next step in my career.
    Thanks

    Soumya

    MBA and such my suggestions

Hello from Charisse and I matters!
We are an ophthalmic recruiter not only in the USA but we do placements internationally.
I have 25 years in the business, optician, technician and an MBA myself (with a core concentration in international management) so I can answer these questions.
First: you will need to get a work permit to come into the US
it may make more sense to go the canada route first since getting into the US is a little more difficult, especially with the elections coming.
second: MBA's are great, they can show you the "big picture" of business, instead of the "what is in it for me" aspect of most employees.

third: what would your goals be if you got a degree? if you are not published, you will not get a research or admin job. personally, i would suggest you consider COMT school, use your optometry background or go on to become a PA... both will pay you better than just an MBA..
feel free to contact me with any questions or ideas!

this is where you go to get the great jobs!
