Describe better. Better for what? Better how? Better for profit, better for patient, better for religion, better for the economy of the country producing the blanks, etc. etc. etc.
Better for patient , Fezz.

Bobie,
I've been wearing the piccolo since april of this year, concise prior to that. Moderate minus, low cyl., 2.25 add. The concise got into part of the add quicker than the piccolo. For example, when looking at a distance object a slight lift of the chin would blur the vision, not true with the piccolo. On the other hand, when I looked at my eye level monitor I didn't have to raise my chin as much with the concise to read the text. The piccolo did have a slightly wider field at near for normal reading. I might add that when I first tried the concise I noticed some flare with lights when driving at night, probably due to the power change being so high in the corridor. It took a week or so for this to go away. I didn't notice this with the piccolo, probably because my brain was used to having some of the add power in, or very close to the pupil (my pupils are slightly larger than average for my age), and because the piccolo has a little more "cushion" below the 180 line.
Which did I like better? For me, it was the concise because I was more comfortable looking at the monitor when I left my computer glasses at home. I appreciated the quicker, higher in the corridor power change. Being an avid reader and performing so many close tasks, this meant that I was posturing less to see well at near. The piccolo might be a little sweeter on the distance vision, not an issue for me because I walk to work.:)
Hope this helps,

Your comments are very helpful for us.

You really can't get an accurate idea of how "good" a lens design by these images. Most often it's marketing people who put these images in their advertising as a way to "show" how superior thier design is. This won't tell you how "good" a design it is.
OPTIDONN ,
The plot of Kodak Concise , I have been get from Nikon , not from Kodak.
But the Shamir Piccolo , I get from Shamir.
I agree with you that , we really can't get an accurate idea of how "good" a lens design by these images.
But these images can be our guide line to under stand the design of each PALs.
We also agree with you that , the marketing people of company PALs put these images in their advertising to show how superior their design is , but the most of these picture that I post is not for public and many of them come from their competiter.
In Thailand , we will get info from one PALs company and ask their competiter for comment and do the same to other PALs company and all the PALs company know what we do. :D
