    Need high minus PAL

I have a pt here w/ this Rx:

    -16.50 +1.25 x 125
    Balance
    +2.50 Add

He's wearing a PAL w/ no markings. Our Local Essilor Labs say they can't do it, and our Fla labs also said no.

Any ideas ? Any lab online want to try it ?

    Thanks

    Johns

Maybe the Seiko Succeed. I can't find my info though.

Contact Awtech on this board. His company Ice-Tech maybe able to help.

(I do not work or profit from the above info)

Zeiss Brevity 1.66/1.67 = Maybe they will get it to work.
My sheet lists range to a COMBINED power -16.00.

    Best of luck!

I did a quick calculation and we could do this with the new ICE-TECH PAL software. I used a 50mm diameter. Much larger maybe an issue.

This is a fully individualized lens.

Contact me via e-mail if interested.

    Power range for ICE-TECH

ICE-TECH Advanced Lens Design software has great flexibility. I think typically most up to +4.00 are OK. Since these are very individualized the limitations change depending on frame information, wrap angle etc.

Thanks for all the replies. I learned a lot.

As it turns out, he said he's had both a FT and a progressive, and didn't liek either one of them. He wants to go with no add, as he says he can't see a diff. between his SV & his prog.

    Oh well...

Well, now I won't look stupid if I ever see that Rx. I'll know just who to call! Frankly, if the reading power is still a -14.00, I kind of buy the idea that he can't tell the difference. He's probably still best off to take off the glasses completely!
For whoever mentioned Physio 1.74, that's not out in the US yet.
