Anyone noticed the dramatic 40% or so, in the price of single toric lenses lately? We are constantly getting supprised by replacment lenses costing more than what our retail price list has been. Example: Oop's sorry we can't show these.

The manufacturers are trying to get everyone to switch over to disposeables.
Instead of discontinuing the old daily wear product, they are raising the prices to force switching.

Disposables are the lenses of the past 10 years, the present, and the future. I try to convert the hold outs (a hand full) that want vial lenses to disposables. If you saw what a softlens looks like after a wearing time of 2 days under a scanning electron microscope you would never,ever prescribe vial lenses again.
