Wave I'm getting married in 4 weeks!

Just wanted to share. We met in line for a movie, she's a teacher. I proposed at Disneyland, and they shot a commercial using us....

    here are some pictures

The story on the commercial shoot is one of the most stressful and exciting things I've dealt with....until now with the actual planning of the wedding. ;)

A guy and his wife were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.

Toward the end of the celebration the man of 50 years was on the far end of the room all by himself sitting in a chair and balling his heart out. Upon noticing his emotional condition, a few other men went over to comfort the man.

One of his friends tried to convey this was a milestone event which deserved joyous celebration and inquired about the reason for exhibiting such sorrow.

The man replied to his friends........
I would have been getting out of jail today if I had only killed her 50 years ago.

    On a serious note
    Congratulations

All Folks get married for one reason......because they love each other.
Unfortunately some folks become driven apart for a Jezillion other reasons.

Always remember and demonstrate the reason for becoming married and you will have one of the most valuable assets a person can have.

Don't forget to put up some pics of your big day.

Congrats!! I love her glasses...prodesign? Yours are really kewl, but I don't recognize them.

I just got married in May, and it's been such a blast.

If you want the best insight I've ever found on love and making it last, check out the Five Love Languages. It's a quick read, and infinately helpful.

I hope all goes well, and that you two have a stinkin blast on your honeymoon.

Don't trip walking down the isle! This advice is probably more for her than you, but on the day of the wedding, accept first thing that morning that what's done is done, it's too late to change or worry about anything, so just sit back and soak it all in.

Thanks! We both wear prodesign. I'm really good friends with the local rep and have been wearing them almost exclusively for about 5 or 6 years now.

We're getting married in a Rose Garden so it'll be easier to trip too!

Honeymoon is Tahoe and I can't wait. She's never been.

We keep getting some of her extended family who we were sure wouldn't be coming, saying they're making the trek from Idaho to come. We're probably looking at 180 guests!!!! :o

    Freudian slip?

Whatever you do, DO NOT, I repeat NOT, succumb to your nervousness during your vows and compromise your ability to speak. Speak clearly, and loud enough so that 'lawfully wedded wife' does not sound in any way like 'awefully wedded wife', as it sounded when my guy said it during our vows.

LOL, Ok, I'll keep that in mind, though I think I'll be OK, after all I managed to do the proposal in front of a camera crew and an audience, why not this too?

I've personally found that "'Til death do us part" has morphed into sort of a goal.

    Hey, it's getting close right?
    Are you getting nervous?
Being married is so wonderful. Someone asked me how it was and I said, It changes everything and it changes nothing.
We're still the same people we were before (thankfully neither of us was deluded to think we'd change) but my perspective on everything changed overnight. It's so wonderful knowing you've got a rock solid love to come home to. No matter what the world dishes out, he'll always be there for me. Sorry, it's so easy to gush as a newlywed! I hope you're doing well, and all the plans are working out as expected!:D

Yeah I'm doing pretty well. Down to just 13 days to go!

The hardest part about the planning has been my family situation. My mother passed away earlier this year, and my grandmother and aunt (the other two who really raised me) are very ill. Both have had small strokes in the last couple of weeks and will not be able to attend. There will be some extended family there, and my stepdad, but it's hard knowing that the women who raised me can't be there.

Grandma has very advanced MD. She can't really see much at all. We are going to be in Sacramento the day after the wedding on our way up to Tahoe. We're gonna stop by and show her the digital photos on her big screen TV so she can see some of it.

EDIT: Snit, that is the most awesome avatar I have ever seen!

I am sure she will be there in spirit.

To bad someone can't record your voices so she can her you both. There's got to be away to hide a tape recorder in one of the flower arrangements..

OK, so I'm not getting cold feet or anything but I'm starting to feel a little wigged out by how close it is and worrying about any details being missed, like leaving for the honeymoon without all of our reservation confirmations and such.

AAAHHH!! I'm feeling panicked. Anyone have a paperbag for me to breathe into?
