YOUNGER OPTICS ADDS SPHERICAL SINGLE VISION TO TRILOGY® PRODUCT LINE

(TORRANCE, CA — August 2006) California-based lens innovator Younger Optics has again expanded the Trilogy® product line by introducing SPHERICAL Semi-Finished Single Vision clear hard-coated lenses, according to an announcement by David Rips, President and Chief Executive Officer. For years, Younger Optics has offered Trilogy lenses, made with the revolutionary Trivex™ material (by PPG Industries), in Aspheric Single Vision. Now, Younger Optics can give their valued Laboratory partners another offering – Spherical Single Vision.

Trilogy lenses offer impressive lens properties: thin and light, impact resistant, excellent optics. Its unique combination of attributes also makes Trilogy an ideal choice for 3-piece drill-mounted frames. In recent years, Trilogy lenses have been recognized with two Optical Laboratories Association (OLA) Awards of Excellence – in 2002 it was named “Best in Lens Materials” and in 2003 Trilogy in Transitions was named “Best in Lens Treatments.”

“Trilogy lenses continue to receive great interest in the marketplace as the rimless frame category grows through all channels of the industry,” said Rips. “Laboratories now have a product with premium features they can offer eyecare professionals with the assurance of a lifetime warranty against lens cracking. We are pleased to expand the offering of the Trilogy product line with Spherical Single Vision lenses.”

This new release comes on the heels of Younger’s exciting introduction of Trilogy Transitions® Flat Top 28, the first impact resistant flat top with Transitions Lens Technology. Trilogy’s complete line of impact-resistant lenses, including clear Spherical Single Vision, is available now through your Wholesale Laboratory of choice.
