    who sells spare spring hinges?

im wondering if anyone knows a source of spring hinges being sold as spare parts. ive been looking for quite some time and have found only ones for plastic insertation. i know they make them to take a rivet, but cannot locate them. any ideas are appreciated.

Try Hilco but there are so many types around you couldn't stock them all, and many cannot be replaced.

    Hi Scott,

I suggest you to visit Hong Kong Optical fair or Mido in Italy. You will be surprised what you can find there.

    Scott,

If you can send me a sample of what you want, I can probably get some for you. Thanks

    Wave Spare spring hinges

Are you looking for a supplier in the U.S? I´ve never heard of an american source but you could try www.obe.de (Germany) or www.comotec.com (France), they supply most european frame manufacturers.
There´s also a spanish producer but I can´t remember his name right now.
By the way, if you look at the spring hinge housing on most european frames, you´ll find Obe´s logo.
Comotec engraves its "hexagon" on the hinge, right after the screw hole.

I think this is the hinge you mention, the one that takes a rivet:

    Good luck!
