First glance:
The multi-quote button
The "The threads below have not been updated since your last visit but still contain unread posts." heading when you hit the new posts link.
I really like the second one. Thanks Steve!
Edit: and the view post link attached to quotes!
Attaching photo's is now a breeze. Larger files are allowed. We've come a long way since Steve first published a photo on Optical Help wanted of a family trip to the beach!
Also noticed a "report post " button. It may have been there before but I never noticed it was red.
Also posts in a thread are numbered. Also may have been there before but I never noticed. I can't find the peanut butter in the cubboard either, in case you were wondering.
The tools to underline Italisize etc. are easier to use and conveniently located.
Just saw moderation tools at the bottom of the thread. Haven't used them but conveniently located.

I also see that we have tools to use in the quick reply mode so that you don't have to 'go advanced' to underline something/

I never noticed the "active members" stat before. Is that new?
Spellcheck!?! Yeah!!!
(it's in the right hand corner when you "reply to thread" -- above the "smilies")
And there's something called "switch editor mode" next to it that I haven't figured out ...

I notice that on my computer things don't refreash like they used to,
If you mean the whole page doesn't reload if you use Quick Reply or edit your post, that's done with AJAX (Asynchronous JavaScript and XML) technology. It saves a lot of time and bandwidth on the user end.

I liked it when the new threads were only new threads each time I logged in. I don't have time to read every post, and would rather not have to go thru them all. Is there a way to set my account this way?

Anything worth doing is worth doing well.
I don't think the Advanced Search feature is working as it should anymore.
For example:
I searched for posts by rinselberg, selecting All Open Forums.
It retrieved exactly 52 posts - some new ones and some old ones. (I have over 800 posts.) It looks like it is only picking up the posts that were "thread starters", but I carefully specified "find all posts" and "show results as posts".
Yours truly.

Are you reading more posts and enjoying it less? Make RadioFreeRinsel your next Internet port of call ...
The threads below have not been updated since your last visit but still contain unread posts.
Is there a way to remove this section. When I click on New Posts, I only want the NEW posts.

Hi Steve.
I confirmed that my original post was correct - that, for me, the Advanced Search functions are not working as they did before.
I'm running a new Intel-core Mac with Mac OS X Version 10.4.7 and Safari (browser) 2.0.4 - and it's no different if I switch to my other Firefox or Camino browsers.
I don't know whether you have an objective of supporting Mac users, but at least I wanted to confirm these results for you.
Honestly I don't see how the browser could possiby affect the number of search items returned. Only the display of the results would possibly be chanbged, not the number or results found.
Unfortunately I have no way of troubleshooting this for you. It works fine with IE.

Then click on Quick Links -> Mark All Forums Read
They will continue to show until you read then or mark them read.
