    Plastic frames, bridge too wide.

Hello, my problem is that the plastic nose pads on my plastic frames are too wide and when I push up higher on my nose my eyelashes touch the eyeglass lens. Are there any adhesive pads that I could just stick onto the plastic nose pads that would make the nose pads less far apart and also push the glasses farther away from my face so that my eyelashes wouln't touch the lens?

Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

    Thanks.

There are even Opticians who can fix this permanently.

A plastic bridge can be bent .............

A plastic bridge can be bent and the size reduced if one knows how to do that. You have to find an optician,............ like the ones that posted above,............................. which grew up during the optical stone age.

If you went to a good optician it could even be done without the proper tool to reduce the bridge size; by using a wooden dowel, a salt pan, and two metal pd sticks. Hows that for a young buck. :p

The radiator of an idling F-100 pick=up truck can do a nice job on that bridge. The mirror mount makes a great expander once the frame is heated up.

Have a look at these. It will save any of those nasty opticians overheating your frame and leaving marks on it where they have been pressing on it trying to make it bend.
And potentially upsettting the centration of your lenses.

    fork

cme4specs....the common table fork can be used to adjust a lot of the end pieces simply by putting the end piece between the tines of the fork, great for when that pesky neighbor comes over at 10 pm
