Are there any Optiboarders planning to attend the OAA Leadership Conference in Savannah, Georgia? I will be there again this year.

Jackie,
I hope to be there, but can't commit until the last minute. Grandchild is due on February 10th and that's too close. Of course, if it hasn't arrived, I can drive down, and if paged, drive home in about 4 1/2 5 hours. Chances are it will arrive 2 weeks early.
Maybe I'll see you there.
Diane
I'll be there!
I'll be there! I have to be...I'm holding a couple workshops. But I don't get in until 11:30 p.m. the night before, so y'all have some mercy on me, ok? Looking forward to it!
The OAA Leadership Conference is held annually in late Jan or early Feb and is designed to bring together leaders from State Associations and the OAA to share ideas and continue to build upon the networks we have created through past meetings and shared programs. Regardless of the status of Opticianry in each state, licensed or unlicensed, we share common needs, concerns and solutions with the goal of strengthening our profession. If you need more information, please contact the OAA at www.oaa.org.
Mikhail..............I noticed that you are from New York State. Although New York is not currently affiliated with the OAA, the Leadership Conference has been open to such states for a couple of years now. When Maine first affiliated with the OAA, in 1995, we were invited to the Leadership Conference and discovered how handy it is to become involved in our National. Networking and sharing ideas, problems and results on a national basis is more that any state (large or small) can handle on their own. Think about attending. It may change the way you look at Opticianry.
