    Canadian custom clip-ons.

As much as I hate clip-on sunglasses, we still get our fair share of clients wanting them. We are looking for another custon clip-on maker in Canada to service our needs. Those needs are; good colour matching (we have lots of frames with exotic colours), wide choice of lenses, the choice of an overpass (standard) or a roll-over (fits over the bridge) design and a decent turn-around time. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The vendors we have dealt with in the past have been McCray, Starr and Profilo.
McCray is decent, colour matching is okay on standard colours but limited frame design. Overall they offer pretty basic stuff, not enough to fill our needs.
Starr is excellent. We do quite a bit of work with them. Great colour matching process, good lens selection. The only drawback is they offer only one design of clip, overpass (standard clip-on).
We thought Profilo would be our savior, but they are not. The colour matching is horrible. I sent a dark shiny brown frame to be matched and the sent a flesh coloured clip-on back to us. I sent it back, virtually no change in the colour, I was really disappointed as was my client. This was not an isolated incident. The only item that is in their favour is they offer the roll-over fit (nasal), but it's not worth it if you can't even get a basic colour to match.

I welcome any ideas, we would even consider using a US company if they satisfy our needs and wants.

I have talked to Air Clip in the past, but have never done any direct business with them.

We were using the Infinity Cogneto magnetic clips, but then they got a warning to cease and desist. So Infinity replaced all of their clips with the Air Clips, and are they ever nice.

The clips mount right on the bridge with a pinching method. They stay on, are easy to take on and off. I have been thinking of giving them another call.

here is the website. They can be done on plastic or metal frames, and either do the bridge thing, or the claws. Many colours.

Thanks for all the responses so far. Still not quite what we are looking for. Colour matching is a main priority. Star clip does a fantastic job, but the don't over the nasal mount clip. I'll keep holding my breath.:D
