So, who's going to win? Due to time differences between Hawaii and Germany, I can't watch much of it, only caught Ghana V Italy yesterday, but that was good. Come On England!!! :cheers:

Shame the USA didn't have a better start. With soccer being such a mass participation game among the young there it should really be the national sport.

Apart from wanting England to win Thursday, my local club has a couple of Trinidad & Tobago internationals, so hope they qualify behind us.

I just placed $20.00 at Vegas for Holland at 9 to 1 odds, I picked with my heart, but they do have a good team, so I feel that makes them a good choice.

Brazil and Germany are also big favorites

The USA were pretty stylish in their 1-1 draw with Italy. It was like they really enjoyed passing the ball around, and was a pleasure to watch. Which of course means they will never succeed against more cynical styles of hoofing the ball up to a 7 foot tall forward.

Wonder if the Aussies can beat Brazil.

I thought the USA looked terrific vs. Italy (watched the whole game). I noticed the passing too, but thought on one or two occasions someone just needed to pull the trigger and take a shot on goal.

For a few seconds there, I was jumping all over when the US scored that second goal- but the official was spot on in calling the offsides/interference.

Holding off a 10-9 man advantage for that length of time was epic! Let's hope the US team has the chance to go further in the tournament!

I kind of hope Brazil wins again! I live in an area of MA that is loaded with Brazilians. when the won 4 years ago I had no Idea what was going on. They filled the streets in thier cars with flags and horns blasting. This lasted ALL DAY! It was great!
It was crazier than when the Sox won the World Series!

Go Ronoldo or what ever his name is!

Jamacia is not entered? Oh I have mistaken a friendly match for a world cup match, my mistake. I think England need to play a lot better if they are going to stand against teams like Brazil, they seem to be getting all their goals in the last 20 minutes.

Germany vs Italy tonight, should be interesting to watch. Germany has never beaten Italy in previous encounters, if media reports are to be believed.
