Bit of a strange topic this :)
I just got a new pair of semi rimless glasses. I was looking at it and marvelled at the build quality.
Before the opticians took it away to get it fitted, I had a lil glance of the size of the original lense. They were big round things - I was pleasantly surprised how they managed to get it shaped exactly how it was in the sample designer frame.
I'm a engineer undergrad myself - so I suppose these sort of sad things amuse me :p - but does anyone happen to have a link to a video or procedure pics into how they shape the lense to the exact shape? I find it particular interesting how they can reglaze a pair even if they do not stock the frame in the store themselves.
