Sending out to labs?

Want to know what kind of percentage of US ECP's depend on outside labs? Which lab do you recommend most and why?

We do finish work and that is it, we order uncuts from three labs, one is just for flat tops becuase they are very inexpensive, tried to send them other work and they werent great, another lab for td2 hard coat type stuff, its the essilo lab, not in love but for some kids its necessary and my main lab is Toledo Optical. I being an independant really appreciate other independants.

Like Cinder831, we use a number of lab for diff. products. We are constantly shopping, but not only for price. With the overnight services offered, we use labs all over the country. It is rare that we switch from our main labs (3), but we do suplement with other inde labs now and then.

We do much of our edging in house but we send out difficult or extremely expensive jobs. The lab only charges about $10.00 to edge a job. Also if we know from in the past that we have had doctors change's with a patient we have the lab do the entire job because we get one doctor's change if they edge it.

Everything but drilling we do in house. I have done drilling in the past, but for me it is just not worth it to do it in house.
