    Arrow Recreational Drugs

The office I fill-in at has a question on the intake form that asks the patients if they use recreational drugs. They say that insurance (Medicare in particular) requires them to ask.

Does anyone know any more information on this? Is this true?

    Thanks.

Oh Cripes, Lance . . . can’t you change the title to this post. You got me all excited for nothing. And, at my age . . .

Probably the boss is trying to score.

VSP requires a question as to whether they are a drug or alcohol abuser in the patients entrance history.

    Silly.

Even if it wasn't required, it would be pertinent anyway.

It's pretty standard on any health information sheet you fill out. Along with whether you drink or smoke.

Yes, it's true. Drugs are sometimes used for recreational purposes. Haven't you ever heard the phrase "all sugared up and no place to go?"
