    Help Identifying Frame

I need help from the "Old Timers" out there I have a lady that wants to use an old frame passed down to her I feel like its in great shape and all, but I would like to replce the nose pads and dont recognize the type mount. The frame appears to be an old AO three piece mount 1/10 12KGF nice old frame but the pads are awfull yellow and brittle not the old ivory pads. The mount appears to be some type of crimped circular tab on the outside but rectangular on the inside so as not to rotate. Searched through Hilco but didnt see anything would love to use the frame but not like this. Any help would be appreciated
    Mike

You need "split pads", I don't see them in the catalogue. I'd call Hilco and ask for #05-245 that is the number on the container that I have.

If all else fails, why not solder on new pad arms? With that gold content, it ought to work very well.

Is the pad mounted with a rectangular piece of metal that is twisted 90 degrees"

If so, its and old AO Pad and I have a few, they are also still available at Hilco but I bought some years ago and have seen them so infrequetly, I still have most of my origional order. If this is what you need E. Mail me at andersonsoptique@bellsouth.net.

I forgot about those I think I tried to get them once and couldn't and got the split pads instead, they worked fine. I have the tool to twist them with hanging beside my "red-dot"extractor. Old timers...geez!
