Am I loosing it? I seem to remember that you had to let you ABO be renewed one year before taking the ABO-AC but I was looking thier site and I didn't see that. All I saw was that the applicant must have a CURRENT ABO certification and that should have several years of experience. Am I just missing were it says the applicant must wait three years or did the ABO change the requirements?

Yeah, I noticed that too. Their website actually says that the advanced exam requires "several years of experience," and indeed the ABO used to require three years of basic certification before you could sit for the Master exam. However, their website provides no specific requirements, and even conveys the impression that you don't have to wait at all before taking the advanced exam. Of course, after they saw fit to water down the "Master" exam in the first place, I'm not entirely surprised by the loosening of their requirements.

I spoke with ABO last month when I requested the ABO-AC app, And they asked me If I had been through at least 1 renewal.
