The Hacker uses a special process called chamber-free coating. It is very unique because there is no chamber and no coating.

Thats ok, but you have to follow the instruction course first. Machine is located in Labrador on permafrost property. The course is 2 weeks intensive during daylight hours with bears and penguins watching and the occasional moose dropping in.Originally Posted by For-Life
Gotta get on board here and concur that ICE seems (just based on endless line of consumers) to stop being easy to clean after a few months. Alize has not shown this problem so far. I'm not affiliated with any lens or coating company at all. Also, Teflon has proved itself to totally fail in way too many cases. We no longer provide this coating. Anybody else wanna share Teflon opinions? As far as molecular bonding goes, I'm glad they're close but if the patient's perception is that the feature has stopped working, then to them that's the reality.
I'm just waiting for the one about the pile-it.:hammer:
Teflon is a good anti-reflective coating that is very scratch resistant, allows a lot of light transmission, and is very stable. Similar to Nikon HCC and Crizal. But not easy to clean.Originally Posted by loncoa

I wonder about the differences in the processes as well, between Canada and the U.S., with different teams of people working in the facilities. Any coating is only going to be good if all variables are the same. Obviously there would be no need for coating warranties if there were NO chance of mistakes. Someone just said Teflon is great, when I've had it fail repeatedly on patient after patient. So I just use UTMC on AO/Sola products now, and adherence seems fine again. I wonder if they do a better job wherever that person orders from...
