So try not to laugh when someone says these are the world’s greatest athletes, despite a paucity of blacks that makes the Winter Games look like a GOP convention.

is foolish in light of the fact that the US won the winter games once, and that over 70 years ago. We have much more luck, in fact nearly dominate, the summer games. Think about the summer games versus the winter games (big hint: Gumbel's remarks). What is the logical conclusion?
