That shouldn't be the case normally. The only time I can see that happening is when someone is posting a new message when the system needs to open and re-write the file. However this shouldn't take very long and you should be able to access the topic in a short while. Be sure to press CTRL-Refresh to make sure the Browser looks for the new file and doesn't pull it out of the cache.

Granted, it wasn't very interesting, just a 'Thanks Steve, I'll try that' etc, but still!
I strongly suspect my computer, actually. It keeps turning all the emails I send to the phrase 'yb'. It's hated me for ages, but it's resentment has grown over the last couple of days because I have bought a new computer desk, and not assembled it. The cat has been sitting on the box, though, in full view of the computer, and the computer REALLY hates the cat. It already tried to kill him by making his fur all full of static. The cat got his revenge, though, by knocking all the CD-Roms over.
Does anyone else have this problem?
I feel it is indicative of the struggle between the living and man-made things for control of the planet.
But fear not, because I think the cat has a plan for ultimate victory.

The comuter has taken offence at my last posting, and is now refusing to email Harry J , in some sort of pathetic revenge attack. Well, it won't work.

For what it's worth, it's a well-known fact in computer circles that cats don't like computers. Computers just sit there and don't provide a moving target that triggers a cat's natural "pounce on it, torture it, then kill it" instinct.

Maria old gal which isp do you use at the moment is it still freeserve ? as the problem could be at there end now they are french owned.... :D
I say this coz i just added a new isp (ntl) and when adding a reply to a post it wont show up despite all the std key presses only way is to log off and login again (a real Pain)
