I'm considering getting the OfficeMate bar code and scanner and was wondering if anyone endorses the system for their frame inventory? Is it worth the $

I just purchased the Metrologic 9535 and Sato cx400, but not from O-mate... they'r 2 expensive.. gotit from Dell half price. Still setting it up so I can't give actual experience but I know with the framesdata interface and time saving features it will make our opticians life easier.

i am used to use this free trial version barcode scanner for 1D barcode. it is compatible with many devices and has three month free of charge.

First, Officemate is terrible for inventory. Its just a pain in the butt. Im real curious to know if you can use a smartphone/tablet w/ qr code scan app to scan in your barcodes. there must be some way to make that work.

I wonder how long did the free trial version of the barcode scanner you mentioned above work for free? 7 days or 15 days? I am looking for a fine Code 128 reader whose way of processing is simple and fast. Any suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
