Lenny, I don't know ya, but I have to do this.

    It pains me, however...

My wife and I, not "me and my wife"...

    To be 'correct' and all.

    Humbly.

    Don't take it personally, Lenny.

    That particular form of grammar was one that was literally beaten into me in grade school, and Miss Moran would roll in her grave if I didn't say somthing;-}

Go to the web.. type in Orlando it will take you to a ton of places... narrow it down to Kissimmee if ya want.. thats closer to Disney then Orlando :) They also have a bunch of discounts and specials if you use the "web" to make reservations

    Lenny,

You are not wanting to stay on Disney property are you? .. you'll NOT find anything around the prices that you want :) .. I live about 30 miles from Orlando and been there enough times to know better :)
Your best bet for "bang for the buck" is a red roof inn or motel six.. and look it up on the internet.. and check for Kissimee, it's about a 15 minute ride from say US92 to Disney, MGM, Universal or Sea World :)
The last time I stayed at Disney (the Dolphin) was for a golf tournement and it was $175 a NIGHT.. oh it was nice and a good little splurge for a "weekend" thing but for a week? YIKES.. Give Disney a try, but if you do not have kids and never been before.. you might find EPCOT more to your liking, myself I prefer Universal.. lot of hi-tech stuff there
I would try the internet first and search by price on the sites, and most every motel or hotel here gives you directions to the parks and some even offer bus service to it from the motel/hotel :)

(about 4 miles to Disneys main gate .. THEY also give discount if you make a "web" reservation Lenny!!) :)

We were in Orlando this Summer and Stayed at the Vistana Resorts less than 2 miles from Disney. We got a great deal for 8 days 7 nights but ours included airfare from PA.
It was a 5 star time share. Fantastic for some extra dollars.

My In-laws stay every year at the Days Inn and love it.

There is a web sight for Orlando and surrounding areas. Click on Lake Buena Vista. There are over 100 hotels listed. It will even give you an aerial view.

We had such a terrific time that we are buying a timeshare.

    Have fun.

Ther are a few nice hotels on the Orange Blossom Trail that charge by the Hour!!!!!

Yes, the jails are more, but they make up for it with the fine food and comfy surroundings!

    EyeMan,

You know sometimes watching what is going on on OBT is almost as good a time as going to Disney :) ..Did the bust of Racheal's (strip bar) make the news over your way? ..
How pathetic is that, undercover deputies paying strippers to give shows and a couple of them bought coke from them...it cost the tax payer's over $80 grand!! ..and to what? stop lesbian shows in a strip bar?..what a waste of money.. but I'll bet you you had undercover cops who just couldn't get to "work" fast enough each day!!
You walk out onto OBT and ya got hookers and crackheads running all over the place and they waste time busting a few strippers ... OH and it took them 3 months to build the case!!..I think I smell something fishy (and it aint the strippers) :)

Hey, all that is just as stupid as the Tampa police busting the girls at the Mons Venus and a few other "Gentleman's Establishments" for giving lap dances........

    Hi Lenny-

You might want to try Disney's All-Star Sports and Music resorts. They're lcated on Disney Property, so you can use the shuttles. They're closer to Animal Kingdom (go very early AM, the animals don't do much mid-day) and EPCOT than the Kingdom. They're also really close to Blizzard Beach if you like waterparks. We've stayed there in NOv and Dec for about 75 a night. It kinda family oriented, but if you're like me you just ened a place to shower and sleep when you travel. I don't like huge, expensive hotel rooms beacuse how much time do you really spend there?
    Good Luck!!
