Compensation and Benefits

Hello OptiBoard,

I am looking for resources or compensation formulas for an eye center. The owners include 1 Optician lab manager and 2 Optometrist. I welcome your input to help build this employment contract.

To begin to calculate how much compensation one should pay,you should find out what is being offered for comprable positions in your area.

Another factor would be, is this a private office or corporate office,the chains can usually offer more but want more,more exams per hr,more jobs per hr.

What are the hrs to be worked?evenings/weekends?

Any other questions please post and I will try to assist as I come from a background that is in this area.
